In 2013, Hyungsoo Kim and his co-founders raised $594,602 toward a $40,000 goal on Kickstarter. By focusing on universal design, his team was able to develop a modern twist to a classic product, making timepieces accessible to all. During this workshop, Hyungsoo will talk about his wildly successful Kickstarter campaign and share practical tips for running your own crowdfunding project.
Hyungsoo Kim is the founder of Eone Timepieces. A firm believer in the importance of universal design, his goal is to co-design innovative products that are accessible and useful to everyone. His team has created an innovative fashion timepiece that everyone, including the blind, can touch to tell time. Hyungsoo holds BA/MA degree in Psychology from Wesleyan University (’02/’03) and an MBA degree from MIT Sloan School of Management (’12).
