Student Innovation Showcase Events

In December, students from Wesleyan’s Patricelli Center Fellowship and Startup Incubator courses will present their work in two pitch-style events. Both are free and open to the public.

Patricelli Center Fellowship mid-year showcase
Tuesday, December 4
10:20-11:40 a.m.
Room 108, Usdan University Center, 45 Wyllys Avenue, Middletown, CT

The Patricelli Center Fellowship (CSPL264/CSPL265) is a year-long, project-based, cohort-style learning opportunity for students interested in entrepreneurship, innovation, and social change. Some Fellows design or launch their own venture, while others seek pathways to impact as intrapreneurs, activists, researchers, organizers, conveners, artists, and more. Meet the 2018/2019 Fellows.

Startup Incubator demo day
Monday, December 10
2-3:30 p.m.
Community Health Center of Middletown, 675 Main Street

The Startup Incubator (CSPL239) is an experiential learning program at Wesleyan led by reSET with support from CTNext. It is designed to teach and enable student entrepreneurs to develop sustainable business models from their ideas. Students apply with a business idea, and in one semester they study their market, design and test a minimum viable product, develop a sustainable financial model, and learn to pitch.
